Rooted And Flourishing

Psalm 1:1-3 – Christian art print with tree in meadow, symbolising rooted faith.

There’s something deeply comforting about the image of a tree — quietly rooted, nourished by streams of water, flourishing in every season. When I painted this watercolour of a flower meadow with a single tree in the distance, I had Psalm 1:1-3 in mind.

Psalm 1:1-3 – Faith-inspired art print showing tree symbolising strength in God’s Word.

“Blessed is the one whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water.”

This verse has always reminded me that when we stay close to God — reading His Word, resting in His promises, and trusting His timing — our lives begin to bear fruit in ways that truly last. It’s not about rushing or striving, but about being rooted in His presence.

As I painted, I thought about how nature quietly reflects God’s goodness. The tree doesn’t worry about growing; it simply stays planted where it can draw from living water. In the same way, when we dwell in God’s Word, we’re strengthened, refreshed, and able to stand firm — even when the seasons change.

Psalm 1:1-3 – Christian art print with tree and wildflower field, scripture on flourishing in faith.

This print feels like a gentle reminder of that truth. A picture of peace, perseverance, and God’s faithfulness. My hope is that it brings encouragement and stillness to anyone who hangs it in their home, reminding them daily that in Him, we truly flourish.
