Print Specifications

How are your prints made?

My canvas and fine art paper prints are printed and framed by professional fine art printers, ensuring the highest quality finish for every piece.

Canvas Print Specifications

My canvas prints are printed on a high-quality poly cotton blend canvas with a matte/satin finish — scratch, crack and warp resistant, 344gsm weight and 17.5mil thickness. Strong, vibrant colours are achieved using sustainable water-based HP latex inks, protected with UV coatings. Each canvas is ready to hang with an included back hanging.

The stretcher bar is 3.2cm deep, made from 100% renewable, kiln-dried, knot-free, finger jointed wood crafted from ethically sourced timber from renewable forests.

The outer edges of the image are reflected and printed onto the sides of the canvas, giving the full image a continuous, seamless look without losing any of the front-facing picture.

Framed Canvas Print Specifications

Framed canvas prints come in float frames — solid wood in a black or white finish — which give your canvas the appearance of floating beautifully within the frame.

Fine Art Paper Print Specifications

My paper prints are giclee printed on 230gsm archival fine art paper for exceptional colour accuracy and longevity.

Framed Paper Print Specifications

Framed paper prints are presented in sustainably sourced solid wood frames, available in black, natural or white. Each frame features an acrylic perspex glaze and is ready to hang straight out of the box.

What is the difference between a canvas print and a paper print?

A canvas print is printed onto a poly cotton blend canvas and stretched over a wooden frame, giving it a painterly, textured quality and real depth and presence on a wall. A paper print is giclee printed onto 230gsm archival fine art paper, giving a beautifully crisp, gallery-quality finish. Both are stunning — it really comes down to personal preference and the style of your interior.

What is the difference between a framed and unframed print?

An unframed print arrives without a frame, ready for you to frame yourself or take to a professional framer. A framed print arrives complete and ready to hang straight out of the box — no extra effort needed.

Will the colours look the same as on my screen?

Screens vary enormously in how they display colour, so there can sometimes be a slight difference between what you see on your device and the finished print. I edit all my files carefully myself to ensure the colours are as true to the original painting as possible, and my prints are produced by professional fine art printers using high quality inks. If you have any concerns about a specific colour before ordering, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

How do I hang my print?

Framed prints and canvas prints arrive ready to hang with all necessary hardware included. For unframed prints, once you have your frame you'll simply need to follow the frame manufacturer's instructions. As a general guide, the centre of your artwork should sit at approximately eye level — around 145–150cm from the floor — for the most comfortable and visually pleasing result.

How should I care for my print?

For canvas prints, simply dust gently with a soft dry cloth when needed. For framed paper prints, avoid touching the surface of the print directly and clean the frame with a soft dry cloth. Keep all prints out of direct sunlight where possible to preserve the colours over time.

Will my print fade over time?

My canvas prints are produced using sustainable water-based HP latex inks with UV coating for lasting colour protection. My paper prints are giclee printed on archival fine art paper, specifically designed to resist fading over time. With reasonable care and away from prolonged direct sunlight, your print should remain beautiful for many years.

Frequently asked questionIs my payment secure?

Yes, absolutely. All payments are processed securely and I do not store any payment details. You can shop with complete confidence.

What size should I choose?

This really depends on the wall space you have available and the impact you'd like the art to make. As a general rule, larger prints create more of a statement and tend to work beautifully as a focal point — above a sofa, above a bed or on a generous feature wall. Smaller prints work well grouped together as a gallery wall, or in tighter spaces like hallways, alcoves and bedrooms.

A useful guideline when choosing art for above a piece of furniture — such as a sofa or bed — is the two thirds rule. This simply means that your art should be approximately two thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. So if your sofa is 180cm wide, you'd ideally be looking for art that measures around 120cm across. This creates a balanced, considered look that feels intentional rather than too small or overwhelming.

A helpful trick before you buy is to cut a piece of paper or card to the size you're considering and hold it up against the wall — it gives you a much better sense of how the finished piece will look in the space than trying to imagine it.

If you're ever unsure, feel free to get in touch and I'll do my best to help you choose the right size for your space.

Where are you based?

I'm based on the Dorset coast in the south of England, where the coastline, countryside and ever-changing skies provide endless inspiration for my work.

Do you take commissions?

I don't currently take commissions. However, if you're looking for something inspired by a specific place or subject, it's always worth getting in touch — I may already have something in my collection that fits perfectly!
