‘Colours of the Field’: A Celebration of Exuberance in Nature

There are moments in nature that feel almost magical. The way sunlight can transform a meadow, turning each flower into a spark of colour, is one of those moments. My painting ‘Colours of the Field’ was born from this inspiration. I wanted to capture not just how it looks when the sun touches a field of flowers, but how it feels — bright, joyful, and full of life.

‘Colours of the Field’ – Pink, orange, and yellow meadow flowers with duck egg blue sky above.

The original painting was hand painted in oils, using expressive strokes to convey movement and energy. Pink and orange blooms dominate the foreground, balanced by yellows and anchored with a soft duck egg blue sky. The composition is designed to feel alive, with colour dancing across the canvas in a way that mirrors the natural vibrancy of a meadow.

The feeling behind this work is exuberance. For me, exuberance is that rush of joy and energy that comes when the world feels expansive and full of possibility. Through this painting, I wanted to create a piece that could bring that same feeling into a home — art that not only reflects nature, but also uplifts the spirit.

‘Colours of the Field’ – Nature inspired wall art celebrating colour and energy.

‘Colours of the Field’ is available as a print in a range of sizes, making it versatile for different interiors. It can be a bold centrepiece in a living room or a fresh accent in a bedroom, hallway, or workspace. It’s a piece for anyone who loves flowers, colour, and the beauty of nature’s energy.

I hope it brings the same joy to your space that I felt when creating it.
