I think most of us find waiting genuinely hard - I know I do!!! Whether it's waiting for an answer, a breakthrough, a change in circumstances, or simply for life to feel easier — there's something about uncertainty that makes stillness feel almost impossible.
Psalm 37:7 cuts right through that: "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him."
What I love about this verse is that it doesn't just tell us to wait. It tells us to rest while we wait. That's a completely different posture. Anxious waiting is exhausting — it keeps us braced for the next thing, unable to settle. Resting in the Lord is something else entirely. It's a quiet confidence that He is already at work, even when we can't see it.
I wanted to design something that captured that feeling — and stacked pebbles felt like exactly the right image. There's something so grounding about the way stones balance on top of each other, steady and unhurried. Each one resting on the one beneath. No striving, no rushing — just settled, patient stillness.
