Oldie but a Goodie – Framing “Pink Skies and Long Ears”

Soft pink hare wall art painted in watercolour with loose expressive style

Some paintings take their time.

Pink Skies and Long Ears is one of those pieces that’s been quietly resting in my studio for a while. I painted it quite some time ago, during a spring where hares seemed to keep popping into my life – in real life and in my sketchbook. I painted it loosely, using watercolours in warm browns and soft beige tones, and added expressive black ink lines to bring the character to life.

Art print of a curious hare with upright ears, surrounded by splashes of paint on a blush pink background.

It’s full of movement, gentle energy, and a bit of wild charm. But for one reason or another, it wasn’t framed – and so it never made it into the shop. Until now!

This week, I finally found the frame that suited it just right — and it felt like the perfect time to let this piece hop out into the world.

So while it’s not a brand new painting, it is newly available on the website. And it feels good to give this one the spotlight at last.

If you love British wildlife, quirky characters, or simply want to add a little pink and personality to your wall, have a peek at Pink Skies and Long Ears. It’s one of a kind, framed, and ready to bring a touch of countryside charm into your space.

You can now find it in the shop under original paintings.

Thanks, as always, for supporting my work — old and new!
