'Heart of the Pride' Rainbow Lion Painting Print - Introducing Heart of the Pride – a bold and expressive rainbow lion wall art print that brings together the raw strength of nature and the wild beauty of colour. This piece began as a loose, free-flowing watercolour painting, hand-painted by me with the intention of capturing both the majesty and the gentle vulnerability of the lion — a creature that commands respect and admiration across cultures.

I’ve always been fascinated by the symbolic power of lions — they’re not only kings of the savannah but also emblems of courage, pride, and nobility. In Heart of the Pride, I wanted to bring a contemporary and emotive twist to the traditional lion portrait. Using a rainbow palette, I layered expressive brushstrokes in rich reds, radiant oranges, deep blues, verdant greens, and warm purples to create a vibrant sense of movement and soul.

The watercolour technique allows the colours to flow and merge organically, echoing the wild and unpredictable nature of the animal itself. There’s something about the fluidity of watercolour that mirrors the essence of a lion — both graceful and fierce in equal measure.

This print is perfect for anyone who appreciates statement artwork. It’s bold, meaningful, and full of energy. Whether you’re an animal lover, a collector of abstract wildlife art, or just someone drawn to colourful interiors, this piece adds instant personality to your space. I especially love it in creative spaces, home offices, or living rooms where it can take centre stage.

For me, this piece is more than a lion – it represents confidence, diversity, and resilience. The rainbow palette speaks to embracing all parts of ourselves, boldly and without apology. It’s powerful. It’s personal. And it’s a celebration of life in full colour.

If you’re searching for a unique gift for a loved one or a striking focal point for your own space, Heart of the Pride makes a meaningful choice.

Thank you for supporting independent art – and for inviting a little wild wonder into your home.
