I chose this scene because it captures something I find genuinely moving about the miracle of the loaves and fishes. Jesus didn't ask the disciples to go and find more food. He took what was already there — what felt laughably inadequate — and multiplied it beyond what anyone could have imagined. It's one of the most vivid pictures of God's provision in the whole of scripture. He doesn't need us to have enough. He just needs us to offer what we have.
